Case Studies
Alfredo Jaar Studio
-
Since 2024, I have worked with Alfredo Jaar Studio to develop its digital communications and expand how the studio connects with audiences beyond exhibitions and institutions. My work has focused on building a cohesive social media presence, developing digital storytelling around Jaar’s practice, and creating new ways for audiences to engage with the research, ideas, and histories behind the work.
-
Despite Alfredo Jaar’s extensive international career, the studio had no dedicated social media presence and much of the context surrounding his projects, research, exhibitions, and archive was difficult to access digitally. The challenge was to build a public presence that could expand visibility and access while maintaining the intellectual rigor and visual language of the practice.
-
I developed the studio’s social and digital communications strategy from the ground up, establishing its editorial voice, visual direction, content framework, and publishing cadence. Rather than treating social media as promotion alone, I developed it as an extension of the studio’s archive and research practice, using exhibitions, historical projects, texts, publications, and current work to tell deeper stories around Jaar’s ideas. I also introduced longer form digital storytelling and coordinated communications around exhibitions, publications, and international projects.
-
Launched the studio’s first dedicated Instagram presence, growing the audience to more than 3,000 followers within its first month.
Built an ongoing social media and content strategy connecting current exhibitions with more than four decades of projects, research, and archival material.
Developed a distinct digital voice and visual framework that expanded public access while remaining consistent with the rigor of Jaar’s artistic practice.
Introduced new digital storytelling formats, including a Substack initiative designed to share the research, texts, and ideas underpinning individual works.
Created a communications foundation capable of supporting the studio’s expanding international exhibitions, publishing projects, partnerships, and future public initiatives.
ISE-DA
-
As Communications & Partnerships Director, I led communications, digital strategy, partnerships, and audience development for ISE-DA, an organization focused on cultivating the next generation of collectors and cultural stewards through education, access, and community.
-
As ISE-DA entered a period of growth, it needed a stronger public identity, more cohesive communications, and partnerships capable of expanding its programming and reach while making contemporary collecting more approachable to new audiences.
-
I led a comprehensive communications refresh spanning website redevelopment, messaging, newsletters, content, and digital storytelling. In parallel, I developed institutional and brand partnerships and helped shape educational programs connecting collectors directly with artists and cultural leaders.
-
Led a complete website and communications platform redesign.
Increased website engagement and average visitor dwell time by more than 30%.
Developed newsletter strategies achieving 60%+ open and click-through rates.
Built partnerships with Soho House, Soho Works, Mastercard, Black Trustees Alliance, Ten to One Rum, IBest Wines, and others.
Expanded educational programming around contemporary art, collecting, and cultural stewardship.
Temperature Check
-
I helped establish Temperature Check from its earliest stages, transforming an emerging concept into a nonprofit initiative centered on contemporary art, education, dialogue, and community. My work focused on building the institutional, communications, programming, and governance foundations required for its launch.
-
Before launching publicly, Temperature Check needed more than a compelling mission. It required an organizational identity, governance and board structure, programming model, communications platform, partnership strategy, and roadmap for sustainable growth.
-
Working alongside leadership, I helped define the organization's public identity and programming framework while developing communications, audience engagement, board recruitment, fundraising priorities, partnerships, and operational systems. I also helped produce its inaugural programs and public launch.
-
Established key organizational and communications infrastructure for the nonprofit's rollout.
Helped develop its governance structure and board recruitment strategy.
Built a programming framework spanning artist conversations, education, and community engagement.
Produced an over-capacity launch program featuring Tschabalala Self and Brandon Blackwood that generated 75+ expressions of interest.
Established a foundation for partnerships, fundraising, and long-term organizational growth.
Artmatic
-
Artmatic saw an opportunity to extend its work beyond traditional art services by creating a cultural concierge offering for collectors, patrons, and culturally curious audiences. I helped develop and launch the service, shaping experiences that provided more personal access to artists, institutions, cultural events, and the communities surrounding them.
-
The goal was to create an offering that felt more considered than a traditional VIP or hospitality service. It needed to combine art-world knowledge, relationship building, and cultural programming while creating experiences tailored to each client's interests.
-
I helped shape the concept, positioning, partnerships, and programming behind the service, developing experiences around exhibitions, art fairs, private gatherings, and cultural events. This included identifying collaborators, cultivating institutional relationships, curating guest experiences, and producing The Gathering Dinner Series as a recurring platform for connection during major art-world moments.
-
Helped launch a new cultural concierge offering expanding Artmatic's services into programming and cultural experiences.
Developed tailored experiences connecting clients with artists, institutions, exhibitions, and cultural communities.
Produced The Gathering Dinner Series alongside Art Basel Miami Beach and Frieze.
Built collaborations with ArtNOIR and MoMA PS1 while expanding Artmatic's network across the contemporary art ecosystem.
Storage Gallery
-
Not Yet Free was a multidisciplinary public program bringing together artists, filmmakers, musicians, and activists from South Africa, the United States, and Japan. Following a month-long residency in Johannesburg, the project culminated in New York City with programming commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Soweto Youth Uprising through visual art, music, film, and public dialogue.
-
The project needed to translate an international artistic collaboration into an accessible public experience that honored the history of the Soweto uprising while connecting it to contemporary conversations around freedom, education, and social justice.
-
As part of the producing team, I supported communications, partnerships, event logistics, audience engagement, and production across a multidisciplinary group of international collaborators. The program integrated art, film, music, conversation, and large-scale media into a cohesive public experience.
-
Helped deliver a large-scale multidisciplinary program in New York City.
Coordinated production and communications across international creative teams.
Connected contemporary artistic practice with dialogue around history, identity, and social change.
Contributed to a project featured by OkayAfrica for its international artistic collaboration and public engagement.

House of Ease Productions
-
I worked alongside Storage Gallery founder Onyedika Chuke during a formative period for the gallery, helping build its Lower East Side space and later its new Tribeca location from the ground up. My role crossed gallery operations, exhibitions, communications, artist relations, events, and audience development, helping create the infrastructure behind the gallery as it grew.
-
Building an independent gallery in New York meant establishing much more than a physical exhibition space. Storage needed operational systems, artist and collector relationships, exhibition workflows, communications, and a recognizable public presence. The move to Tribeca introduced a second challenge: translating that foundation into a larger space and more ambitious stage of growth.
-
Working closely with the founder, I helped build the systems behind day-to-day gallery operations while supporting exhibitions from planning and artist coordination through installation, opening, and sales. I also worked across communications, events, collector engagement, vendors, and visitor experience. For the Tribeca expansion, I helped establish the new space and adapt existing processes to support a larger exhibition program and growing audience.
-
